Looking for headlight input

hey guys, i have a 2001 f150 and am wanting to change the headlights because the stock ones just don't cut it for me. too yellow and dim for my liking. i want to replace both the heads and fogs with silverstar ultra bulbs and i was wondering if anyone has input if this will make a noticeable difference. all opinions welcome and pics too! thanks!

I'd go with some clear housings to help with output. The Ultras should help a bit with the yellow output of the stock halogens, especially if they are the original bulbs.

Clear headlights and Silverstar Ultras are a great upgrade from stock. I recommend it if your just looking to get better lighting.

You can try restoring them. But idk how well that will work depending on how yellow and faded they are.

Or, as much as everyone else gets them, you can upgrade to Lightning headlights, either real Visteon brand or Depo/JDM reproductions.

They could be dirty, but most of the problem comes with the Fresnel design. Clear headlights get rid of the "ridges" in the lens, giving you better output.

silverstar bulbs wont last and there is only 15% difference between high and low beem.

Tried them, liked them, just didn't do much for brights and only lasted about 90 days. 3 sets, same results..

Difference in what? Brightness? There's more than that.

Silverstars in general, usually have a short lifetime compared to other bulbs. But apart from my fog lights, I don't use them anymore. I've had a set last 60 days, and I've had a set last two years. It all depends on a number of factors.

Get them from a place like Wal-Mart or something with a good return policy just in case.
