New LED switchbacks are in

Well I ordered my 60-SMT LED switchbacks from V-LEDs.com on the 16th. With a 15% discount they were still the most expensive LEDs I've ever bought at $47 for a pair. They came in today, and right out of the package I ran into problem #1:

Now this wouldn't be as much of a fuss if I wasn't OCD, but my HIDs are ~4,700K, and I wanted the 5,000K so they would match. Well, they don't. I've already sent an e-mail and just browsing the exchange section, they want me to buy another set, and return the originals and get a refund. I'm sorry but I'm not doing that. They can send me the correct ones and then I'll return these, but I'm not going to sit on ~$100 for four silly LEDs and two weeks with no blinkers for crappy customer service. Like I said, its just what I said, so let's see what they'll do for me once they return my e-mail. Onto the pics (like you guys didn't already scroll down and look before reading this crap )

Some randoms of my headlights:

Ballasts with cool LED status indicator light that lets you know when the flux capacitor is warmed up for maximum glare

And the D2S bulb base going into the projectors (much cleaner and controlled design than a 9007)

And a video of them in action:

Total sum up: I like 'em. A little pricey and LEDs don't fill in the reflectors as much as incandescents, but I'm glad to have running lights again. (My old ones were 3156- I just wanted some kind of clear bulb (amber is NOT allowed on my truck). I just hope I get my 5000Ks so they match better.

I'll be sure to update with more photos and a video later on tonight

I took OUT the clear 3157s. The whole point is white running lights with proper turn signals

I thought really hard about getting these switchbacks for a completely colored look and even had them on order before canceling right after, but I feel without a little amber to break it up its beginning to look ricer and those pics confirm my hunch.

I have the chrome signal bulbs so when the lights are off it looks clear, lights on its amber. I feel i'll avoid cops bugging me for my retrofit this way too.

Yeah the 6Ks look too damned ricey blue. I want the 5Ks I ordered so they're 100% white.

yeah its iffy. the price doesn't justify them. if they were cheaper it would be easier to do. i had to get them because i didnt have running lights with my old bulbs and they blink out of sync with my rear LEDs.

and my orange shirt is from wendys

If you could have a switchback inside of an incandecant bulb, as to retain the look of a normal bulb, I'd buy them.

the bulb would be bigger and/or use less LEDs to get it to fit. but a neat idea.

just checked my e-mail. they're sending out replacements. awesome

Wow, those are really blue. Sorry to hear they got things mixed up for you. I've made 4 orders with v-leds so far and no issues. Hope everything goes well for you as far as getting the correct bulbs and sending back the wrong ones.
My 5K switchbacks filled in the reflector real nice.

Even with my black reflectors now too.

$47, so you're not getting these at $60/pair then huh? lol http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/B...-p7470633.html I bought them when they were $70 a pair, my switchbacks I think were $10 more also, all including the 15% discounts I always find.

BTW, my 5100K hids match real well with the 5K switchbacks. So once you get the correct bulbs you ordered it will look great.
