So I plan on adding a fog bumper... I assume I need the oem fog switch and if I do the HIR bulbs... will this work? Or would I need to do something else?

IF your truck does not have the pigtails for foglights (they are usually clipped up under the bumper) you need the harness I linked above.

9011 -> harness -> OEM/aftermarket switch in cab

If you want I can do a wiring diagram

Yes it will, but if you plan on running lights brighter than 45W you may be lacking. The wiring looks like its 16 gauge which is okay but better safe than sorry. If you do want to run hi-po lights, you can go to AutoZone and build your own harness with much thicker wiring (I usually say 14 gauge minimum, I'm running 8gau on my fogs). If your sticking with 45W or less, what you posted is fine.

Edit: I went to the OP and saw you were planning on going with HIDs, get this instead:

Its much cheaper and designed for HIDs in mind.
