30,000K is purple. Not blue. Just do a google search an you will see the color.
Also, WTF is the point of getting HIDs of that color, then saying you don't care about the driving aspect? Unless your truck is a trailered show truck, DO NOT put anything over 10,000K your headlights if you plan on being able to drive still.
As the reason your lights say "Do Not Use HIDs" is because the projector lens is most likely a composite material, and not true glass, and will therefore deform under the generated heat from the bulbs.
Not trying to be a douche man, but it this kind of stuff that give HIDs the bad rep they have on the streets.

actually guys 30000k realistically doesnt exist as far as kelvins in hids go, the lumens out put is to low, this is just another dumb japanese mix up in creating hids, I had a pair claimed to be 10000k hids but in the box it said 4300k just another international screw up between trade markets. Ive heard about 50000k where it glows green and has nearly 0 output, but I doubt there even HID's to be able to produce the green light it has to be a black tinted halogen. anyways your wiring harness is fine, the ballast draw less power than halogens, ballast run at about 35watts while halogens run at about 45watts, the ballasts just give the low power a little more punch when they hit the igniters in the bulbs. So your fine, melting harnesses is a myth, people just aren't connecting them correctly. my buddy has had HID's in his Honda for 1 year and nothings happened, and Hondas aren't built a rough as a truck so its pretty self explanatory.

yeup but say goodbye to the longer life, once you tint any bulb the heat is kept inside of it and it burns out the bulb much faster. Especially with halogens where they use about 20% energy for light output and 80% for heat
