I don’t remember the actual code but I tried to get it to recreate the issue on my way home wich I can usually do by putting to the floor on a hill but I only got a little skip here and there and not the full lose of power and shutter. At this point I think I’m just going to take it in to my local dealer so they can hook it up to there computer.

Don’t know. I bought the truck used at 76,000 I’m at 139,000 now. I’m assuming they’ve never been changed. I was going to tackle it my self but got scared with the hole snaping off in the head thing and just haven’t spent the money to have the dealership do them when they said it’s 360 plus’s 200 per break. I’m 25 and just got married and don’t have a lot of cash sitting around so I’ve been trying to save up to get it done and what’s about to do it withing the month and now the dang ac **** it’s self.

2009 has the revised heads with conventional spark plugs. Easy to change, they won't break. Change them, use a little bit of dielectric grease in the coil boots, and this might possibly fix your A/C too.

Not in 2009. They revised the heads about halfway through the 2008 model year. I think you need to find a more competent dealership or independent shop.

They said at the dealership the pcm wasn’t allowing the a/c clutch to engage.plus I need a new fan motor and a new resistor. Wich the resistor is only a week old and a motor craft part. Is there a way to test the resistor? It also seems odd to me that they would say the blower motor is bad when it comes on it just stays on high.

I'd go get another opinion. There has to be a reason why the PCM is not allowing the compressor to engage, and that reason is rarely the PCM itself.

Turns out it was just the blower motor resistor. I got a bad part when I ordered it. Stealership tried to get one over on me!! The quoted me $2500 of repairs to fix it.
