02 Blend Door Repair
I'm looking for a complete set of instructions on how to repair/replace the Blend Door and Actuator.
And before everybody jumps and says use the search feature, I have. I found Quentin's instructions but the part where the whole dash comes off is missing. I also saw the guy in SC who posted videos on YouTube who does the repair in 3 hrs. If that is a true price and time, it would almost make a road trip form PA worth it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

No, unfortunately I have not found complete instructions. I did figure out that the blend door is not my issue. I believe my issue is with the EATC or the door that controls which duct the air comes out.

If it is not blend door
Just fixed heater/defroster/panel controls on '03. Saw lots of diagrams on electronic controls, with o-rings in them drying out. Other common issue was vacuum loss on line from between bat and firewall. Mine was vacuum loss due to mouse damage.
sorry, murphy's law, can't find any of the links now.

Blend door actuator replacement
Hope this helps someone. You can access the actuator by rotating the duct that sits below the actuator. On the driver's side of the front of the duct, there is a corner piece that prevents rotation. If you saw off this corner piece, the duct can be rotated by pulling on the passenger side of the duct. This moves the duct out from under the actuator, allowing you to access and remove the actuator.
You do have to remove the electronics belle below the duct and a strut on in front of the passenger side of the duct first, but this is simple to do.
Note that although the actuator hha four areas for attachment with screws, only three are used. The forward, driver's side attachment site does not have a screw on it.
But always check the temperature control **** first as it may be cracked at outta attachment site (I realized this was my problem AFTER I replaced the actuator)
