A/C Clutch does not Cycle on/off?

How often should my A/C clutch be cycling when the compressor is being used. (i.e defrost, mix, a/c and max a/c). My clutch never cycles, it start spinning when I turn something on and it does not shut off until I shut off the a/c. The truck is a 95 F-150 4.9L 5 speed. Thanks

The correct answer is "It depends".

The load on the A/C system.

Mild weather and a light load on the system will result in more frequent cycling. Very hot and humid weather will keep the compressor running at or near 100%.

Depends on the weather, the system charge, the compressor's performance, the orifice tube, & the temperature setting inside. Don't worry about it. Is it blowing cold when you want it cold? Is it blowing hot when you want hot?

That would make sense, I have only owned this truck during hot, humid weather. Thanks
