For some reason no matter what position the selector is in , it always blows out the defroster. I think I've got it down to 2 things that might be wrong. Both are vacuum related. I think it is the switch itself or the actuator that moves the door that controls where the air goes. The actuator is under the driver side dash on the 97. Not sure about other years. I can move the arm going from the actuator to the door by hand with my and but it won't stay in place. If anybody has had a similar problem please let me know what was wrong. I enjoy a/c but not when it comes out the wrong spot and doesn't do any good. I prefer to have it blow on me, not the window then warm up.
