Just how cold should my 2010 A/C be ?

Hi, I just bought a 2010 XLT SCREW.

I turned on the A/C while driving at highway speed and was a little surprised. The air is cool but not cold.

In my mind it will take a long long time to cool the interior on a hot Texas day.

Just how cold / efficient are the A/C's in these trucks ? Do I need to take mine back ?

A good average temperature of the air coming out of the vents is about 50 degrees.

In the 2004-2008 section their is a group of people that say hot water is ALWAYS circulated thru the heater core even when the a/c is on and some have by passed the heater core with a manula valve or other method and report much colder air temps at the vent, search around for more on this topic. FWIW, mine is the same as your and theirs! Cold but nothing stellar and I havent done this mode yet.

Wrong put a temp gauge in middle vent on passenger side a good reading should get 41 to 43 while driving and after cab is cold it should stay there even at idle.
