Yeah, you look at the threads regarding this very subject and its apparent the AC systems don't last past three years!

Oh sure, it's probably better for the environment (as would be about 5 billion less human beings) but it just sucks for keeping vehicles, and homes cool.

The AC in my 08' sucks too, but I totally expected it. I learned all about this from the crap AC system in my 07' Hyundai, and from my mechanic. Gone are the AC systems that will, as the saying goes, "freeze you out".

FC- Not really true- Ford screwed up on the '04 up PU, some actually cool fine and some don't. My '04 does even when it's hot, but on REC. I'm not saying the 134A is good stuff, I've actually read that it's worse for the environment than R-12 but I don't know, time will tell. Any time the gov. is involved in mandating anything you know it's gonna be screwed up. "Im from the government and I'm here to help you"
There are cars that do a fantastic job of cooling with the 134A but some not so good. Not all engineers graduate in the top half of their class. As a matter of fact i believe in some fields there are a whole lot more than 50% in the bottom half of their class.
