..or does the air divert to the windshield?

A more complete description of the fault is in order.

I thought I read somewhere that the computer will shut down the AC compressor when the computer senses the motor pulling down as on a large hill or passing to give you more HP. Maybe I dreamed this.

Certain vehicles do. His isn't one of them.

It diverts to my windshield. I have to typically let off the gas to get it to come back to normal. Before I noticed it going up grades in the freeway (a couple weeks ago). Now it does it more and more as I'm driving (regardless if I'm going up a grade or driving a regular street).

THanks

You have a vacuum loss problem. Check the hose behind the battery going into the firewall, a common place for the line to crack.
