So maybe its just me....

But there is a really annoying sound comming from underneath the glove box when the AC is on. I have taken it to the dealer and they said "they were unable to duplicate the problem" but i just think either A) im going nuts or B) the dealership just didnt feel like ripping apart the AC to fix the problem. Either way I have to resolve this....It is driving me insane.

Anyway it sounds like something is spinning....like the lubrication has become dirty and it now makes a noise where it didnt before. I dont think it supposed to be like this because the noise comes and goes. Does anyne else experience this and if so do you have any idea on how to solve this? I would like to know how to do it myself so if it ever happens again i wont have to pay the dealer. Thanks and let me know if you need any more info..

I have a 2004 Lariat Supercab

Since no one here has heard the sound, what do you want, a miracle?

Do you think it could be your fan. I have a 97 and have not experienced this.

Probably a leaf wedged in the plenum and rubbing against the fan.

Girlfriend had the same kind of noise from the same location on her 04 Escape. The dealer heard it, though, and replaced the fan. It was supposedly a difficult replacement because it requires removing the dash. If the dealer wants to be lazy, they'll tell you they can not replicate.

Well the airflow remains constant when the sound fades in and out. Im probably gonna end up taking it back to the dealer and showing the A/C guy what Im talking about. Ill let you all know what I find out.
