Just installed a 990hd in my 2011 f150 and just wanted to make sure it appears mounted correctly. I screwed around the multiple mounting holes on the metra dash kit but no matter what i did i had a 1/2 in gap between the main trim plate and the mounting bezel.

I attached a photo but its hard to see.

Is this normal for your installations or am i missing something obvious?

 

Are you using the dash trim kit that comes with the dash bezal?

The part on the right of the pic below? That should allow it to fit snugly with no gaps. Also, your metra kit should have came with an instruction book for where to mount. If you have lost it heres the pdf http://www.metraonline.com/files/pro...-5822B_web.pdf
