AZMike,

Thanks, I'm looking at the 4200DVD and those or the Ref speakers, can't decide. Maybe Kappa front, Refer in the back. Eventually powered compact sub under seat.

Thanks,

David

Not looking to spend much, but, something I can still enjoy, just in case I go on a trip my wife or friends can watch something and I can still be safe on the road with bluetooth hands free.
glad you finally started to listen to me and go with pioneer haha. and get the new model just because they come out with so many new features every year youd regret it later.

Okay, so the x710 is still not quite outdated? And I figured might as well get navigation built in as well for the same price as the P3100BT

no not by any means is it outdated. There are still guys on here buying D3's for more then what you'd be paying for that 710.

Well the x710 fell threw, so I can grab the P3200BT for $315 shipped.

Yeah I know, I figured might as well spend the same amount and have it built in. I also have an issue, my aftermarket deck, we had to clip the harness off and attach the wires by using the electrical tubes and wrapped them in electrical tape. Would that be an issue with this new deck that I'm about to buy?

You cut the harness on the truck side? Thats a big no no but its easy to remedy. If it were me I would wire a reverse harness back into the truck and do it the correct way vs. hardwire.

Yes, we did, ha. How would I do that? Just buy a harness, cut it, and re-wire it?

Use the 71-1771 to match up to the truck side stock wiring. This gives you the same plug you cut out. Then use the 70-1771 to wire to your radio.

71-1771 will wire up to the wires you cut, giving you a stock plug, just like it had from the factory.

The other one, 70-1771, wires to the wiring harness that came with your head unit and will plug straight into the 71-1771.

I believe he is using Metra part numbers, which you can find at your local Best Buy.
