Popping sound, and dvd picture question. av4000

First off I have an 05 crew, Iinstalled and pioneer av4000. I bought a crutchfield wire harness and a 528t pulse timer. At first i hooked up the radio with out the amp to enusre i got sound from all speakers. when i finally did i then hooked up the amp wires and plugged in the rca plugs now everytime i turn on the truck i get a popping noise from the speakers. Not sure why-- any suggestions. I do know that speakers do pop when the reciever is off before the amp is off. so i am guessing the reciver is on before the amp and soon is the amp powers up i get the popping sound.
Second-- When th truck is in park and not turned on i get no picture only sound. When i start the car i get picture. the pulse timer works as advertised becuase the unit does play when not in park. I guess i just assumed that the player would play when in park and not turned on So am i wrong.
Thanks all for the previous post about the unit it definately helped.

what amp are you running? Did you wire the remote wire from the amp to the pioneer or to some other source of switched power?

Scrap the 528T. That may be the source of your pops. Do you have the audiophile system in the car?

Grab a relay and wire that in for the bypass.

I had mine installed and it did the same popping thing. Took it back and installer said something about the original system runs 6 volt and the 4000 is 12 volt. They just stepped it down and I have no issues.

Sorry if that sounds elementary but my knowledge of stereo equipment is just that.

Factory amplifier only needs 5 volts to turn on. Put a 5K ohm resister inline to your remote turn-on wire and it will take care of your popping problem.
