The Chevy dealership said the price was on the sticker and they didn't move off that. Kind of surprised seeing how bad Chevy is hurting right now. No wonder.
You can always talk to a few people about X-plan PINs. That would take a bit more off.

These new incentives are D plans and X plan isn't as good as D plan.

with my job I do get a GM Supplier discount which makes a 2500 a possibility. Not a fan really of Chevy but the better MGPs on the Duramax vs the PSD is a strong factor to think about

I am coming that realization and quicly.

It would cost me a bundle to move my 5er hitch, get a new liner sprayed in and move my amps and rewire it all.

So that in mind. I am even considering putting my stock HU in and adding some line out adapters (3 in total) and finding an IPOD interface.

The issue I am having is finding a aftermarket unit that works my with stock HU. I have the 6C3T-18C815-AA HU.

If I found this I may not even get an Alarm. However, if I put the new W505 in with a new Blackbird, I will, and I did just find out that with my AV business, I do get cost on Pioneers so that does open up some new opps for me. I am must not sure about the Pioneer HU's. My AV guy told me I can get the Z3 for cheap.

So do I understand that Clifford and Viper are the same?

Yep, all made by DEI. I think python is the same as well. An alarm would be a must if i were you. i even got an extra discount with insurance. $500 for a one mile range remote starter and an alarm that if you start a car next to my truck with loud exhaust, it goes off. not a bad price and keeps my stuff unstolen.

If you did that, I would come through the computer and kick your ***. Plus Chevy makes an UGLY *** truck.

Get your alarm. Clifford and Viper are made by the same company, but I find that with some Clifford's they are made a slight bit different.

Then run the W505. You are so used to their menus, Id stay with it. Plus, we havent had any pics of W505's installed...

Not sure if you said where it got broken in to at? I saw that you said they popped the lock.

I understand about the trade in. I have been thinking of trading the truck for a Jeep Rubicon. The best I have been offered is 16k. I think the dealers are hyping up the deal of trucks not selling. I told them I am not going to give you the truck for 16k so you can sell it for 23K. The cheapest I have seen similar ones to mine offered for is 23k with no line-x, tonneau cover, navigation. Around here I am seeing trucks with new paper plates every day. I do not know when the PSD is going to update, but if they are going to change for 09 I would hold off.

I think I am going to hold off and ride this out...I think some of the diesel pricing and gas pricing makes everyone over react a little. I would rather have an 09 anway, b/c of the newer black larait leather offering and I hope that Ford has figured out a way to get more MPG's out of the new PSD.

Well i have always been concerned with morons trying to break into my vehicles to steal my head units. That is why i bought 3 of the new double din JVC units for my vehicles as they have detachable faceplates. I have 2 way alarms in my vehicles, but i still worry some tool will break the window and try and grab something before he gets caught.

Anyways the JVC is pretty decent, and the price is very resonable, especially considering what i paid for my Pioneer Z2 and Z3. I allready sold the Z3, and i will be selling the Z2 soon.

Hope this helps you and other out.

That is a large face plate to be carrying around. What do you do with it when you are at the mall or airport etc?

Well i put the Mustang 1 in the trunk, only way in is through the alarm remote. The F-150 1 goes in the back under my Lo Rider tonneau cover, again only way in is through the alarm remote. The Navigator goes in the back hatch area out of sight. This way everything is out of sight, and much less likely someone will bother breaking in.

I now dont worry near as much as i used to with the Pioneer units being left in plain sight 24/7.
Plus the features the JVC has and the price for the unit was a no brainer for me to switch over.

Ok so I have to ask this...if a bad guy is staking out a parking lot like he did for me...wouldn't he see you put those things up in those places?

Then by getting the head unit out, all he has to do is cut your rear seat to get in the trunk or pop the tail gate?

The one nice thing about my simple single DIN is i can pull the face off and stash it, but i still want an alarm since i have a lot of nice equipment going in here in a couple weeks.

Not to thread jack, but Low what is a nice/effective alarm system that can be had for 200-300 or less??

That is a very open-ended question. What do you need from the alarm? 2-way, Window rollup, Keyless Entry, Digital Tilt, Backup Battery, Extra Sirens, Pop the tailgate, glass breaks, etc. Then who is installing it? Does a warranty matter...

Hit Travis up at www.kcautosound.com

I have the CA670 2way alarm from KC Autosound that he will pre-wire for you and give you complete step by step installation instructions to do it yourself. The newer model CA671 took its place for this year. I have installed many alarm systems from him. The cool thing about the CA671 is that its the ONLY alarm out there that will tie into your motor wires allowing you to disarm the alarm with the keypad on your door. That was a huge selling factor for me since I use my keypad all the time and throw my keys in the console. I figure if they are going that far to break into the truck and tear it up they can just have it. Keep your insurance paid...lol
