2004 f250 alpineIVA-W205

Just went to get an alpine IVA-w205 installed in my 2004 f250 lariat and they said it would not fit - is there any adapters etc. that can be used so this unit can be made to fit in my truck?

Or what unit would you recommend - I'd like bluetooth for my phone and a double din unit that doesn't use a flip out screen

they do fit but you can not take it to best buy or other corprate places like that. the reason behind that is they will not cut much on your dash. to put a dd in you have to cut the support bracket up a little. i have an 02 L and i have a pioneer avic d3 in mine. the 99-02 have to be cut alot but 03-04 are not very bad. if you take it to a small mom and pop shop or a place that does custom work they can do it for you.

Unless the F250 is different than the F150, it will fit with no modification at all. Someone please correct me if the 250 is different. All you need on the F150 is a double din kit and it bolts right up.

It will fit, but you've gotta make your own fit kit for it. Take off the dash cover and look at the radio opening. See those 1/8" high lips on the top and bottom of the radio opening? Grind them flush with the surrounding area. Figure out a way to keep the radio itself secure in the dash. DO NOT use the cage that is supplied with the radio. I drilled two holes into the plastic "box" part of the dash that surrounds the radio, and ran some screws into the unit from them. I had to go to Lowe's to get longer screws, but it all worked out great.
