Aux input on stock 2004 F150 head unit
I have a 2004 Lariat Super Crew Cab F-150 with the 6 disc in dash CD player. I was wondering if this head unit actually has RCA input jacks for me to hook up my iPod to it. If it requires something else, I think it'd be more cost effective and wise for me to just install my old after market head unit.

You can use the PIE (Precision Interface) unit to hook directly to your factory radio. It is the same unit used to hook up XM satelite radio. You will need the model FRD04-AUX. Cost is about $89.00 plus shipping. This allows you to hook any device directly to your head unit. It is very simple to install and allows you to maintain control of your radio functions on the steering wheel if you have them. I have it installed on my 05 F150 Screw & have hooked both my XM Radio and Ipod to it, so I know for sure it will work. To operate the unit once installed, just hook on your Ipod and press the "Aux" button on your head unit.
