F-150 Aux MP3 Audio Input Is Installed..!!

Well F-150 Enthusiast....I'm very happy to announce that our friends at P.I.E have confirmed that their Auxiliary Audio Input is ready and shipping....I can confirm this because I currently have one installed in my truck....That's right...No more lame cassette adapters or cheap FM modulators...Just plug your MP3 in...hit the Aux button on your HU and let the music play...!!!! And the install only took 5 minutes...!! That being said give it a little time so they can get some stock out...then you will be all set...!!

You can't order direct from PIE. You gotta use one of these three folks. http://www.pie.net/index-12.cfm

Part is http://www.logjamelectronics.com/piefrd04aux.html First 200 orders are placed so you prolly won't be getting one from logjam until November. D'oh!

Any one have step by step directions on how to install? For instance, will I need special tools to get the radio out?

Yeah, how do you get the radio out?

I've got a brand new 2006 F250 and don't want to scratch up the faceplace of the console. Does anyone know of a web site that has instructions on how to remove the radio in order to install the PIE FRD04-AUX?

Thumbs up Installed my PIE AUX adapter today...

It took 20 minutes from start to finish.
The only problem I had was that my alarm went off when I reconnected the battery. I'll have to wash those shorts.

Thanks to all those who installed and posted the how to's before I did mine.

By the way, it sounds great.
