Got my deck today, a few days ahead of schedule woohoo!

Borderfree is just a company that helps quicken the process of ordering and shipping between USA and Canada

I have a question about the deck though, I got the same one (the Premier HU, not the regular one) and it says it comes default as 40w x 4 and in order to switch it to 60w, to move a toggle over on the bottom of the unit... but I see no switch to move. Am I missing something?

Anyone have a pic they could show me where this switch is?

The 40 watt > 60 watt switch is located on the bottom of the deck (underneath) it's in your owner's man. I think you have to "reset" the deck after you switch the watts, use a paper clip. Look it up in the man. and it will tell you ste by step.

Found it, the directions were really vague, the switch was hidden underneath the mounting sleeve

Hmm.. trying to figure out how to wire this thing myself. One question though, there's a cord coming out of the back of the unit labelled "Wired Remote" and its a single prong plug type. I cant find anywhere in the dash for a wire to plug into this!

Also, I have a 6-disc changer that came with the truck, and I cant find the wire to plug that in either! I'm so lost lol

The remote wire is for a wired remote (sold separatly) or if you get an addon like http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?...vd&svbname=205 it allows the dvd unit to control the head unit. As for the wiring of the changer have no idea. Thats the beauty of mp3s 6 albums on one disk. I love this unit. I give the factory speakers a week before they blow.

Exclamation Sirius?

Jay did I read your post right, do you actually have a working sirius receiver in your car AND you live in AK? I was excited when I first heard about satellite radio, then bummed when I found out that they don't work in AK unless you are in a boat on the ocean with no mountains blocking the signal. How did you get around this, and which alpine deck were you looking at?
