Question about AVIC-N2

Ok guys, my local stereo offered me a deal I couldnt refuse. Personally I am a Kenwood Excelon guy but when I saw the AVIC-N2 and the offer he made me, well... you know how that goes...

So my question is, I know that on the Kenwood units you are still able to use the stereo controls on the steering wheel by using some sort of adapter...Will this work with the Pioneer units as well? And if so or not, what P/N, supplier do I get this adapter from?

I would really hate to have dummy buttons on my steering wheel so if you guys can provide me with some answers I would greatly apreciate it. Thanks...

the swix module works for sure. You need a remote that works with the N2 tor program the swix. The N2 does not bring a remote.. good luck

..

I don't think that model has a wired remote input in the back like some other decks like pioneer and alpine do. I know that PEI or PIE makes an interface for every major car on the road that effectively works like an IR blaster/universal remote. They are around 50 dollars and fairly easy to install from what I understand.

Thanks there jenerator, thats exactly the kind of unit I was looking for. I will have to call Crutchfield to double make sure that it will work for the N2.

Hey there JohnnyCashAK, according to the Pioneer brochure it does have a wired remote control input on the N2, so either way I am pretty sure that it will work.

Thanks to all for helping me in getting this info....
