Pioneer DEH-P8MP

Got the head unit installed. Looks and sounds great. If anyone is interested I could take pictures. The sound even with the factory speakers is crazy. I've got for Kicker 6x8s to put in but the wiring harnesses haven't come in yet. I'm installing them so i don't have to cut the factory wiring.

Update:
took some pictures, but forgot my keys. Anyhoo, you can see how it looks installed. not bad. the install kit was a one piece design so the pocket won't fall out or anything. Also installed the black ac vents from the stx. I have a set of chrome xlt vents for sale.

I've got the same unit. Lots of options. Takes some time to figure it all out. You have to make sure to set the toggle from the factory default 40W x 4 to 60W x 4.

I'm running polk momo 5 by 7's up front, an pioneer 4 ways in the back. Picked up the XM tuner too with a terk micro antenna. Only complaint is no scroll feature for XM.

that looks great, i was debating on that HU, and the one I ended up buying. Yours is nicer because of the extra wattage it puts out and more pre-out voltage for amplifiers. I ended up with the DEH-7700, and am just as happy.

Congrats on the new HU and clean look you have going on inside!

Looks great dude. I put that exact H.U. in my cousins truck for him. It sounds awesome and has twice the power of the stock H.U. which is why the astock speakers sound so much better. Nice Job.
this is mine: Pioneer 950MP

More pictures...

Ok, for you nuts wanting pictures of the head unit while it is playing, etc.

On a side note I installed a pair of Kicker DS68s and they sound awesome being driven by the head unit. I'm run the HU in 60watt per channel mode.

I was going back and forth between this deck and an alpine deck. I was unsure how the bright blue of that pioneer especially with the big **** in the center would look in my truck. I just want to thank you so very much for providing this for me. I went ahead and placed my order and have it on it's way. I'm upgrading my speakers with infinitiy's at the same time. I can't wait!!!!!!

I'm loving this head unit. you can actually turn the dimmer on as well so its not quite as BRIGHT in your face when you have the headlights on. YOu can also set the dimmer level.

No problem, glad I could help.

I bought that unit from Etronics.com about a week ago. They are shipping up to Alberta, Canada where I live though, so I dont even have a tracking # yet.. I'm assuming I'll get one when "Borderfree" takes into effect , when the package passes into Canada

I cant wait for it, I researched them alot, and I LOVE the look of it

I installed mine last night. Man the pictures online do not do that thing justice.

I must say after having installed several aftermarket head units in several different trucks, that Ford designed the cab with a lot of forethought. I think it took me longer to solder and shrink wrap my connections then it did to do the physical install. I was also impressed with the ammount of room behind the dash. I even had room to install the Sirius tuner behind the dash and didn't have to place it under a seat like I htought I was going to have to do.

I have yet to try all the bells and wistles out on this deck, but man is it a nice deck. Even with the stock speakers it sounded great. But with the Infinity's that I replaced the stock with, man does it sound sweet. I also have to say that the Sirius tuner' sound quality is 200 times better than the Plug and Play unit I was using before, hell it sounds almost as good as a CD.

I have yet to try any MP3's so we'll see how that works tonight when I get a chance to burn some to CD.

Once again thanks for positng this, I feel so much better now that I got this instead of the Alpine I was thinking of.
