Dyno shops, local tracks
I was over at NLOC and saw a thread on a dyno shop here in my neck of the woods, SF Bay Area, CA.

I tried Google, Yahoo Yellow pages to look for dyno shops and came out empty handed. A fellow member suggested RPM by Rohnert Park, but that's a waaaayyyzzz drive for me. Any other dyno shops in the greater Bay Area.
Other than Sears raceway, any other 1/4 mile tracks in the same area?

Then maybe one of the North Bay HD get togethers should be to have a dyno day up there. I talked to the owner of RPM yesterday. He said no problem. We could
barbue Q while testing. Have HP drag racing..
Just a thought

I guess my unfamiliarity with that area is hindering me from actually going there, plus the distance.
Let's see what other Norcal members think about it.
Ya working late?

Used to be a great track in Fremont but it was shut down. Went there a lot as a kid with my dad. Had grudge night on Tuesdays.
I think the closest track in our area is Sears Point. I think there's one in Stockton but that is a little further.
The dyno event sound great. Maybe we can make that a future outing for the norcal HD guys (BAHDFOG)

Chesterc,
I found this post for a South Bay dyno shop.
The best dyno shop in the South Bay Area is Mustang Ranch in Santa Clara. Phone No. 408/247-9005, http://www.mustangranch.org

Thanks 1JT and BillP!
Last weekend (Oct 12, Sat) there was a NorCAL-SVTOA meet at AlexMotorSports Santa Clara. It's pretty close to our office, but I was afraid that the meet is going to be all Mustangs and Gen I Lightnings so I did not go.
I'll head out to MustangRanch during lunch time. I'll keep you posted.

I went to Mustang Ranch during lunch and I asked for dyno information. It's about $75 for a run which isn't that bad. Unfortunately, they cannot handle the Supercrew due to length limitation of their chassis dyno. Oh well... I'll try Alex Motorsports tomorrow.
