I want that Ford sign on top of my house...right above my bedroom - That would be tight!

Anyways...I prefer the all black exterior but am fond of the two-tone interior - Still trying to decide if I should wait for '03 or get '02 now. Any ideas?

You and me both

I'm in the same boat you are ricekicker. I'm going to see how far they'll go on a 2002, I'm not sure if I don't like it better.

The front valance reminds me of CP3O's mouth. What's up with that? Was it an afterthought or something? I don't care for it at all.

A buddy of mine told me that "Harley Davidson" is written really small in the stripe. That is what those blocks in stripe going in alternating directions are.

you'll probably have to see it in person to really make up your mind.

WatchThis, i'm with you. i don't care for that lower valance either. Too boxy. no curves in it

Yes it is. its like the same as on the 100th anniv. bikes.

ALso, do you notice wehre teh pinstripe gets wider on teh back part of the bed? thats where it says "harley Davidson" in bigger text like where its bigger in the above pic...

The two tone might not be to bad if they actaully took it from the top of the head lights instead of of curving it down in front.

But, since it will probably be 2004 until I can get a HD, doesn't affect me at all

well thats if they make a 04.

who knows

they said 5 year allaince, but they got together in 99
(99,00,01,02,03) it makes sense to stop in 03 cuz 100th anniv. (go out with a bang) and 04 is the redesign of the f150's. gonna be tough to do that AND design a HD edition one. and if they do, i'd expect it to run past the 04 model since they would already ahve the parts and castings

but who knows, only time will tell

As far as what you mentioned about Harley being written in the stripe, that is how it is on our 03 Fat Boy in Gunmetal Perl. It is really cool. I wish they had an HD truck in gun metal perl! How about an HD Super Duty, now THAT would be sweeeeeeet. Sorry, I digressed.....

SUPERDUTYSPV, did ya notice the emblems are very similar too? very cool

anyway, if ford was gonna do that for any year with a superduty HD, 04 would be the year for it. Think about it for a second, if their 5 year allaince does indeed include a HD truck for the year 04 and then will end after that, it would be easier for ford to throw the HD package on a SD rather than trying to redeisgn everything for the redesign 04 f150's. cost less too.
i have a feeling though that if they did make the 04 a HD f150, that they would extend their alliance since they already had the parts

Unhappy

I think I like the 2002 better overall. There are some things I like about the '03, but not enough to make me want it over the '02. There are a few left here, I had my eyes on a fully loaded one ($38,405). I've been trying to get them to come below x-plan price (without telling them I know about the x-plan of course) but they have barely budged from their mark-up ($41,000).

Someone else bought it yesterday.

Oh well...

John

To each their own...but it's still looks like Shamoo to me.
Maybe if they would have reversed the silver and black placement it would be less orca like.
However, it's still a HD F-150 with an Eaton blower!

Hey John,

If you don't mind travelling a bit, I know a dealership here in Phoenix with a black one and a grey one. We drove the grey one a couple of months ago. I don't think it has moved since.

Pheonix is a little far, but thanks. Did they say how low they'd go? =)

Look for my new thread titled My Quest to Own an HD-150.
