New Leer Tonneau on '02 HD (Pics)

Just got it installed... truck still needs some TLC... but the Leer 700 just got installed on the '02. I was "told" that Leer didn't have a "lip over" design for the Supercrew until now.

Anyway, got the carpeted top as well. It was about $740.

This is my nine month old Weimaraner "Shelby" (after Carol Shelby and the car) posing in front of the Mercury Outboard on the HD Truck-- had to put that last part in to keep in on topic

Looks really great Zinc. Lots of pics Matches the bedrug nicely too

I was "told" that Leer didn't have a "lip over" design for the Supercrew until now.
Well, they did have the lip over design, up until december 01, then they stopped that, and made it where it shows 1/2 the rail. Mystery Fan has the one where it doesn't cover the rail all the way. And then too many people complained and they came back out with the over rail design. My friend has had this cover on his 02 for a while now. He got the truck in eartly march, and the cover in early april, so he got one of the last made over the rail ones before they switched to ontop of rail, and then back to over the rail. They both look good, but the over rail ones clean it up alot more IMO

here's his

truck's looking great zinc!

Hey Zinc,
Looks great! Ok, now I gotta know where you got yours from. Sounds like a good price.

Did you order online or get it somewhere near where you live?

Thanks.

Unhappy

Be carefull - I had one of those lids too - I took it back because it was chipping the paint at the front of the bed where the points are - it was also impossible to get on and off without chipping the paint and it weighs a ton!!! Great looking though!

It was a local yocol.

The guy was great on the phone. Got there and it was this old house, looked like Sandford and Son's yard

But the owner and his two workers were great. Polite, carefull, very detail oriented. I'd recomend them.

I'll go back, but I think with you in Ca. it would be a bit out of the way

Thanks, Zinc-Zag. Yeah that would be quite a road trip. I'll check my area for a local Leer dealer.

Cool

zz, that is the nicest looking lid Ive seen yet. I just called my local leer rep and he gave me a price of 799.00 installed. He said they were having some problems matching the grey color though. Said he would need the vin number and the gas lid to get a perfect match. Are you happy with the workmanship, fit and finish on yours? Thanks.......JB
