There have been quite a few HD owners with issues over the quality of the chrome wheels.
When people have gone back for warranty, Ford class the chrome wheel as "ornamental" and therefore NOT covered.

Can you wonder why people buy Jap trucks?

 

Boy I hate to say this but I was told that if you clean your chrome wheels while they are hot or warm this can cuase your chome to peal.

With that in mind, I NEVER cleaned or polished my chrome wheels when they were hot. Did that first then did the rest of the truck.

It would be a shame if Ford didn't replace that.
