Thumbs up 2002 HD Scheduled!!!

I came in this morning and was checking on what vehciles were scheduled to be built . I noticed we got a F150 body type W07 with a 3 engine. HARLEY!! It's a stock unit that was ordered on October 13th. For those who have one ordered, they are now scheduling them. The VIN of ours is 1FTRW07352KC23843. I don't have the actual build date yet, but it is usuall assigned a few days after being serialized.

I don't know how many their scheduling a week, but I know the last couple years it was a fairly small number so it often took a month after scheduling started to get one scheduled, so if yours doesn't happen right away don't worry this is normal.

For Class III hitch, it's probably cheaper to get one aftermarket. All the necessary wirings are included with the truck, whether or not you ordered the OEM hitch. The hitch is just bolted on, and the existing wiring bracket is fastened on the hitch (from its previous location on the frame) and that's it.

When you ordered your truck, I know there was a Trailer Tow option or package, you get the standard wire harness with every truck, however if you want the hitch, that was another option you would have had to chose when you placed your order. As with the Super Duty F Series, trailer tow package does not include the receiver there either, it is another option you would need to order from Ford.

Trailer Towing Package??

I'm interested in getting a trailer hitch on my HD also, but there was no trailer towning package on the list of options when I ordered my truck. Is this some thing that got added later? What kind of aftermarket hitch works best?

I'd like the hitch also but it wasn't available on my list of options. Does anyone have an order code?

Showya--I just emailed you my # . I specifically asked my dealer if their was a towing package as it was not listed on the order form--he said "it's included". Is he full of it? What do I need to do to get it added if necessary?

Trailer Tow

The Trailer towing package (option 535) isn't available on the Harley. I don't show any way to get a factory hitch. I checked in CONCEPS (the online system used to order) and get a message that Trailer tow deleted, NA with Harley 63H.

I got a class IV "hidden" hitch for my 2000 F150 HD for less than 130 bucks at a local auto store. 8 large bolts later...and its on.
