Cool New 2000 f150 HD owner

bought my HD today it has all options except block heater(doesnt get too cold in South FL).i will be picking it up from dealer on mon or tues. cant wait. took it for a ride today, it handles really nice. but needs a bit more power in high rpm. i think i will add an intake. not shure what else so far. i was thinking computer upgrade but i dont really want to run premium but i might. can you upgrade comp without running premium? could i get a comp that only firms up the tranny? also would there be any power gains from aftermarket bassani exhaust over the lightining muffler. sounds good!! any ideas for relatively inexpensive power mods??? i also think i am going to get clear corners and am MTX thunderform for the cab. any other really good mods out there??? thanks for all your help. this forum helped me buy and decide on my truck

-thanks

2000F150HD, forst of all, welcome to the elite club. Secondly, did you get the vehicle as new or used? If new, make sure you get all the goodies you are entitled to, if used, TRY anyway!

well its an intresting story. it is used but the first owner was the dealer i bought it from. it is a dealer that deals slightly used exotics and sports cars(ferrari, porsche, viper, ect). so i think if i keep in contact with the dealer i bought it from he might have the stuff from ford??? but will i ever see it???? i hope so. my biggest concern for now is the tonneau, because i heard the deadline for getting one from ford is march 31. i could prove i own the truck. but i never got the letters from ford about the tonneau so i dont know who to call??? anyone else have the number???? also what special goodies did the f150 hd come with. the one i bought has the bedmat. also is there any type of HD certificate that is numbered. all that was in the glovebox was a standard manual and a tow harness??? no hitch but it has a harness, odd??? it also came with a lock that i am assuming is for the tonneau. thank you all very much for your help.

That lock you mention is for the tonneau. The tow harness is if you want to add addl. towing capabilities in the future -- such as trailer braking, etc. The regular trailer towing electrical plug is already installed and tucked up by your spare tire.

The certificate of origin, a plaque, and a keychain all came in the mail about 60+ days after purchase. Also, got a jacket, and that took about 90 days in my case.

Do you know the build date on the truck, 2000F150HD (It is at the bottom of the window sticker mixed in with some other numbers) and when did the guy you purchased it from buy it? I'd bet if he purchased it prior to October or so, he's already received some of the goodies.

With the mat, towing connectors, and lock, you received everything you should have at purchase.

Try this number: 1-877-783-1537. You will need your customer number (get with dealer to get the paperwork started...hmmm can you do that? maybe not if it's not a Ford dealer) and/or vehicle id number.

Cool

Try this address https://www.f150online.com/scpp/index.html This is Mike Troyer at Superchips. He will answer any questions you have about this subject. You will need to run premium fuel with this mod.
Also visit the online store on this site for an FIPK and underdrive pulleys. Both are reasonably inexpensive mods to start with.
If you want to get really serious look at exhaust and a supercharger etc.
