Job One Should begin First of May, but Several "Pre-Production" Vehicle have already been delivered to the U.S. In enclosed trailers I believe -Reliable Transport- They go out 2 at a time. 4 more started on the line Wednesday so by late Thursday Final Inspection! Again these are for a lack of a better description "pre-production" or pre-Job 1, The vehicle seem to be for VIP customers (ie.Jay Leno), Ford Dearborn Garage and Special USE ie. Display photo shoot, magazines etc.. but on or about May 1st 2000 regular production for the Harley should begin, I've been told the production run 7,500 is SOLD OUT , I don't know if these translates into actual customer orders or if it includes dealer orders.
P.S. Just A Gorgeous truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't own one, but sure would like to. This is a pic I took last weekend at the MPLS auto show. Note the trailer that houses a Harley.

I have just seen one for the first time this past weekend. I live in Canada, near Toronto. I did not even know what the Harley F150 was. I was at the Oakville dealer (bitchin' about my door cracks) and there she was.......being loaded onto a trailer. I asked the body shop manager what that was and his reply was a truck being loaded onto a trailer because NOBODY is allowed to drive it. I went up an looked, sure enough, the harley symbol on the side and all......

We were initaly told that every dealer would get at least 1 Harley truck if they wanted it, and if any dealers didn't want theirs they would be redistributed. Aparently due to problems getting the 20" wheels they're not going to build as many trucks as previously expected. I got the one we had ordered scheduled and called in to see about getting another and was told that for 183 Select (small sized dealers) there were only 50 Harley trucks to go around so many sold orders aren't going to be built. My truck is supposed to be built next week. I don't know what time frame the trucks will get scheduled in, but if it doesn't get scheduled soon, I'd guess your not getting a truck. I also expect prices for any trucks not sold to go crazy.

I got to see one in Myrtle Beach last weekend (may 20) Saw the cute trailer too!! Truck is VERY nice. I would love to have that black leather steering wheel in my truck. The harley badges are great too. The "F-150" on the back is flat black in color (not chrome) Leather is nice on the inside but did notice early signs of wear around the door handles. Center console also is covered in leather. The side badges say F-150 w/the harley shield next to it. The front lower ground effects w/small round fog lights look fanstatic (kind of like the lighting) Nice duel tail pipe.
They also had a SuperCrew done up for the coast guard. And a Ranger done up for the desert (I think??) The supercrew looked really good as they had done the seats w/those neopreen (spelling??? like a wet suit) seat covers. And of course Ford had their big trucks there to haul all of these in.

Just wanted you guys to know. I saw a Harley F150 today on a transport truck. It was heading north on Mound rd. in Warren Michigan. It could only be going two places Jerome Duncan Ford on Van Dyke, or the Ford proving grounds in Romeo. Where is the Harley F150 being built?
This was in todays Ford Dealer News Bulletin.
There are quality issues with the tonneau cover on the 2000 Model year F-150 Harley Davidson edition. As a result, units have been released (effective Monday, May 29) without the tonneau cover. We are in the process of generating all new paperwork (window lables and invoices) for all Harley Davidson units. On any units which have already shipped, the paperwork will be sent directly to the dealers.
This makes it sound like the Harley truck isn't going to get the tonneau cover. I guess it should be expected, the 1998 Nascar Editon was supposed to have a different front air dam (and the sales cards showed it), but the production truck didn't get the air dam.
