Reply to "2000 Harley-Davidson":
I heard the same thing about the original tonneau news flash coming this week. Sure hope it pans out, as it would be cool to keep this thing truly unique. About the gears, I never saw anything about 3.73's, only 3.55.
At my current 18mpg, I don't think I'd want anything to lower it further.
Hey, this poetry thing might be catching, eh?
Regards...............Fred

Tonneau Cover????
Can't wait any longer for the HD Tonneau Cover. Have ordered a *******'s X-2000...the one that opens with a finger touch.... I will wait and see what the Leer and it's design looks like. If okay I will make the switch come delivery time assuming my X-2000 arrives first. I passed up on a plain old Leer for the *******. Anyone want to buy a used "Black" ******* cover come January? hehehe.

Hey, that HD is a real job to keep clean. Guess I had better get another 3 or 4 California Car Duster's and a cover. It's a good thing I'm retired and have lots of time to pamper "B-Velvet"....or maybe that's my problem...just getting old...

Question

I heard a rumor Ford was going to make a Harley-Davidson F150 Super Crew. Anyone know if there is any truth to this rumor?

I am curious if anyone else saw the ad that was sent to Ford dealers on the accessories available for all F-150s such as a soft Tonneau over, floormats, bedmats, splash guards etc. All with the Harley logo on them? Great board..just found it!

To: Greg - Hogwild........

Yup, I got the pamplet...Ford is offering a lot of Harley goodies...Wonder why they didn't put some of them on the Harley itself, like the floor mat's w/logo, molded splash guards featuring a full-color logo, etc. Most of the Harley-Davidson Ford Accessories work for the F-150, F-150 SuperCrew, F-Super Duty, and the Ranger.... My dealer has ordered two HD Kits...I assume they contain most of the accessories available. The HD Black Dust Cover looks mighty fine.....

Hey John..Check with your dealer! Thats where mine came from. My wife works there and they gave it to her when it came in. There is no number or any ordering info in it. They should have gotten atleast one per truck I would think. If not I can try to get a number for you or mail you a copy of what I have and you can take it to them.

Frederick: an trying to order the 2001 model but Ford Canada has limited info at this point. Might be able to pickup a 2000 in next day or so and am curious how you like the handling, power, etc of this year's model. Any other info yo can share can be emailed privately as per profile. Can your dealer prvide any info on the 2001 model since 3 dealers in last 2 days plus Ford Canada seem oblivious to the fact there will be a 2001 model at all.

Appreciate any info..thanks...caseyk

It is true, the 2001 is a SuperCrew. It was at introduced and displayed at Sturgis. I've seen pictures. It's essentially the same except for the larger cab and smaller bed. Also, I think the pin striping is different based on the "Test drive" article I read on it. Couldn't really tell from the photos. You can see pictures by going to the Sturgis web site.
