Hard tonneau options for 03 HD S/C?

Hi guys (& girls if only!), new to the forum having just bought an 03 Harley s/crew. Love everything about this ride, but in buying it privately, there is no tonneau fitted. I don't know, tonneau, lid, bed cover, whatever you want to call it...I want a hard tonneau to finish it off.

I just passed another 03 HD on the road this week, (you don't see many in De.!!! - but then not many American's have heard of Delawhere???!) His tonneau looked sweet - the rear corners kind of peaked up a little - raised maybe 4/5inches off the bed height. I yelled out through my window to ask the owner where it got it from as I couldn't see the name badge. He replied..."DURATOP". I've checked online with no luck...the only Duratop is some camper add-on bollocks!@#$%

The ARE LSII would be a second choice, but I'd be very grateful if you guys can shed any light on the Duratop outfit and where I can get a hold of one.

Long way from home...CHEERS!

Thumbs up

Had the ARE for 2 years or so and have been very happy with it. Friend of mine has the Lear and also has had zero problems with it. As for the Duratop, haven't seen or heard of one.

I know what you mean. The *******'s and Snugtop lids look the best to me. Both are very low profile. I don't care for the ones that look so "thick".

I like the lear but it was on the truck when I bought it, when you look in the rear view because of the hump it kinda blocks the view but I drive by the side views anyway, i looks cool to me, different from others.

Thanks guys...

...BUT I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR! Quoting Bono. Great tune, but I'm buggered if I know where to find the DURATOP lid. The guy driving the other HD 03 SC, said he'd bought it from Florida, but there's f'ck all listed on the web for them. I've already scene the Snugtops, the ARE II's, Leer's and pretty much exhausted my search on the web...Just thought I'd try some of you experts out there to see if someone had a better idea than than me. Will have to keep searching. Laters.

I like my Undercover Tonneau.

Low profile, lightweight and will not crack. Shines up nice too.
