On the freeway, cruising at about 70 mph late at night and I planned on passing this little white Volkswagon GTI on my right so I could get over to take the next exit. As I accerate, he begins to accerate next to me. So, I take it up a notch, then he punches it.

Not a problem I punch it grinning all the way He never got a full length ahead of me. By the time we were doing 95, he was waaaay behind me. It might have helped that we were going up a pretty steep hill.

I slowed down once I had gainned some more distance (I don't want another ticket), and he got ahead of me to take the next exit (I had missed mine by that time). He wanted me to follow him, but I was running late so I turned the other way to go back to my original desination. He gave me a big wave, obviously happy to have been beaten by a Harley and then left.

I was having a bad day, so it made me feel a whole lot better.

 

There is nothing like a story like that makes you feel better no matter what kind of day you are having.

It does make you feel good to smoke him like that but that sure isn't one to put down in the history books. Maybe he should stick to Civics and Geo Metros, LoL!!

 

His was pretty well 'suped' up. They have turbos right? I saw his red shocks, it was lowered, and we all know that the larger the tailpipe, the more exhaust thrust you get (good for at least 10 hp right?).

So what if the car could have fit into my homeade ram air intake. - 'gulp, yummy'

My truck is not 'modded' in any serious way so everytime I get to smoke somone who thinks they are fast, I get a little happy. I love my truck (even though the I am having a seal problem on my back window.)

but shoot, if i was the GTI driver, and i saw a HD coming up to pass me, i'd probably hit it too, just to see if the HD driver would gun it even though i'd know i'd loose

I know my exhaust was blowing in his ear most of the way (especially with the Flowmasters and in-front-of-tire exit).

 

Congrats Hogg. I got my first real kill a couple od days ago against a old MAZDA RX-7. Probablly was like a early '90 (couldn't tell with the body kit) I was cruising at like 70 and didn't even notice him creep up beehind me, then next to me give me a look and take off. I let him go becaus eand got a very good jump. But he then slowed down and got infront of me. So I pulled up to his right and started to excelerate with him. He got 1/2 a car in front when I gunned it. I am running "pretty" stock so it was close but I got about a car ahead of him and he gave up. I was pretty pumped.

 

I had a little fun with a Ram 1500 yesterday....... he blew by me right before an exit to the by-pass around town. I could see he was hammerin it down when we hit the by-pass..... I let him stand on it pretty good.... running about 70...... I was probably 10 lengths back..... I stood on it !!!! I came up on him sooooo fast..... I know it scared the $&!t out of him. Pulled along side him.... punched it..... watched him slowly disappear in the rear view mirror !! I love these trucks !!!!
