I thought people might have some fun with this...or you can also take a serious tack on it, too.

It just seems to me that every month (or every couple weeks, even!), you can count on the same old posts appearing/reappearing here:

"What oil (brand; viscosity) is best for my truck?"
"Which oil filter is best for my truck?"
"What's your favorite beer (restaurant; TV channel; sitcom, etc.)?"
"Where are the sparkplugs on these trucks?"
"How much is insurance on a Lightnnig?"

Now before you take me to task...yeah I realize that information changes with new trucks and parts and the advance of technology...and that new people register and want answers to their questions, but some of these topics get pretty shop-worn.

Hey jaymz, what kind of gas mileage are you getting?

It doesn't matter that we have different years, tires, gears, bodystyles, drivetrains, weight or that you are in a different part of the country with different elevation, terrain and we've never observed each other behind the wheel.

When you tell me, one of two things is going to happen:

I will gloat or I will imply that you are a liar.

 

Yeah you got that right! Sometimes the replies are predictable, too: "Do a Search!" " "...or Something"

I get about 15 with the 4.6l. Dohhhhhh!

 

I get 27 MPG on the highway with my 4x4 with 5.4.
That's with towing a 40 foot tt, when I'm not towing, I get 31 MPG.

Oh yeah, I get 22 MPG in the city.

Yeah baby!
