Ricers as defined in this thread should be reworded to "posers" or "wannabes".

Grouping them all together really isn't right. I've done some work for some local cars that are very quick, and have the handling to back it up.

In the "Detroit vs the Imports" challenges the last few years, the imports have won at the drag strip. Having lived in Japan for a while I've seen small imports humble big block muscle cars on the street.

Just like with any other vehicle, people have different opinions on show vs go. I see a lot of lifted trucks that never go off road, trucks with no muffs and true duals and NO other performance mod, etc. Hell I've even seen a reg bed truck with spoked wheels and a Lightning badge on it!

I've never had an import car and most likely never will. Just remember that these guys are simply enjoying their vehicles, much like many of us here. We can't lump them together in a group any more than they should do it to us. There are also plenty of idiots that drive trucks, and I hope that society in general doesn't think less of us because of it.

Hmmm where did I put my Nomex fire suit?

I don't think you need a flame suit for that!

Good post signmaster, well said.

I think if i ever get around to it when im older, im going to make a "200 hp club" it will be a car club, but you must have at least 200 hp to enter, and if we have a meeting and some ricers in their civics come buzzin up, we eat them in a ritualistic cannibal manner.
