OT - New virus going around

I am going to move this to general discussion ....

There is a new virus going around that looks pretty interesting.

It appears to look like a screensaver with .scr extension.

Be careful opening any files attachments today and tomorrow

My brokerage firm just warned us about it.

Thanks Doug,
Just got nailed with it about an hour ago. How many times do you have to beat users over the head before they understand? Do not open attachments!!!! Oh well, job security.

I say we start executing these virus creaters publicly. I wonder how many of them are Mac users.

We got the virus sent to the plant by our Corporate Office. Figures.

So far, Symantec doesn't have their updated virus list out this week. Caught us off guard.

Word of warning to all who didn't get the info, make sure you check the registry on each machine that was infected. This one copies itself into the registry and reruns itself upon reboot. Just finished cleaning up about a dozen machines stupid users!!!

yup, we got hit, as always. Any time a virus comes around we're pretty much guaranteed to get it, mainly because we have dumba$$ computer operators here. LOL.
It was funny, when the anna kornikova (sp?) virus was around, the person that first sent it out (several people sent it out as a result...) said "I figured it was a virus I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a picture of her..." LOL
