Would you buy an Electric Ford truck?

Not me. I like a truck that can haul stuff without worrying about the distance traveled.

I would buy a hybrid but not a pure electric.

I'm in GLC's camp. A hybrid is a great "bridge" between pure petroleum power and pure electrical power. I think Ford should work on hybrid technology for now.

Would a hybrid truck pull a load long distance? I doubt it.

Roadie, I think it depends on the load you are pulling. I pull a 3500# telescoping trailer with my 3.5L Ecoboost, and I suspect a well-designed hybrid would pull that just fine.

Ford does have a 3.5 Ecoboost F150 hybrid. They call it the Powerboost. Claimed to tow up to 12700# with max tow package. 430 HP, and 570 torque.

right now, if I wanted a minivan I’d get the EV Lightning and flex hard at the high school

until FoMoCo can make an EV truck that’s useable I’m forced to stick to my Diesel…

The Powerboost hybrid is quite usable.

It's as usable as any other 1/2 ton truck is what I'm saying.
