Would you buy an Electric Ford truck?
Not me. I like a truck that can haul stuff without worrying about the distance traveled.
|
I would buy a hybrid but not a pure electric.
|
Absolutely not.
The technology still isn't there yet. |
I'm in GLC's camp. A hybrid is a great "bridge" between pure petroleum power and pure electrical power. I think Ford should work on hybrid technology for now.

Would a hybrid truck pull a load long distance? I doubt it.
|
Roadie, I think it depends on the load you are pulling. I pull a 3500# telescoping trailer with my 3.5L Ecoboost, and I suspect a well-designed hybrid would pull that just fine.

Ford does have a 3.5 Ecoboost F150 hybrid. They call it the Powerboost. Claimed to tow up to 12700# with max tow package. 430 HP, and 570 torque.

right now, if I wanted a minivan I’d get the EV Lightning and flex hard at the high school
LoL until FoMoCo can make an EV truck that’s useable I’m forced to stick to my Diesel… |
At this time,no.

not for what I use my F350 to tow… |
It's as usable as any other 1/2 ton truck is what I'm saying.

No thanks - if I want an electric vehicle I’ll buy a golf cart…..!!!!
