Yeah -- when we first started looking out here they were just in the process of upgrading 249 to a divided highway with that HUGE center median and I remember thinking at the time that I would probably never see the day when that median would actually become a highway. Now I am driving on the Tomball Tollway and soon will be able to take it all the way out to College Station.....

A good friend of ours grew up on a little cattle operation just west of town along FM2920 and her dad passed away a few years back and left his three girls the house and the land. Let's just say they "did alright" selling daddy's sleepy little patch of cattle pasture -- I know her share alone paid for a place out in Fulshear that made her childhood home look like a shotgun shack .....

You know, I have never thought about that, but I bet you could do it relatively economically! Plus, you'd have a lift that would make it awfully easy to do car repairs as you got older! Hmmmm -- idea filed away for future consideration......

The guy I sold my Mustang to has a two bay, 30 by 40 shop with a lift. Also has a loft area for parts storage. Great set up, in his back yard.

What's the rest of the shop if there are only two car bays? I'd love a place that big, but it would already be packed to the gills with vehicles if it were mine.....

I'm having a hard time finding an enclosed carrier to get this thing down to Texas! The broker I am using is telling me there are no enclosed trucks traveling Ohio to Texas right now and was wondering if I would consider open carrier instead. I told her "NO WAY" as I would hate to have a car this pristine that has been stored inside its entire life get nicked or damaged from road debris on the trip down here! Guess I'll have to just wait until there are trucks on the route......

Try Uship.com.. Just tell them in the description that it has to be a enclosed trailer.

Or you can buy me a enclosed trailer and i will go get it and bring it to you free of charge...

As luck would have it, I finally got the call that there was an enclosed carrier traveling Ohio to Texas this coming week. Low and behold, I am scheduled to be in Minnesota all week and won't be around to receive the car, so I have to pass on the truck and wait for the next enclosed carrier that's taking the route. That right there is probably the most frustrating thing about having a job that has you on the road a lot -- you can never plan on anything and your travel commitments always seem to be getting in the way of the things that are going on in your personal life.....

So the next hurdle involves the title, which the owner sent certified mail after he received my cashier's check. Unfortunately, he mailed it to the return address that was listed on the UPS packet that I used to mail him his check, which happened to be the address of my local UPS store -- not my home address!

So now the title and the bill of sale are floating out there somewhere in the great unknown! I stopped down at the UPS store this morning just to check if it might be there, but they said they would have sent it back as "Return To Sender" rather than keep it at their location.

What's the saying -- "Things are never easy?!!!"
