The Bloody Moon

I figured I'd beat Takeda to the punch for once. (Maybe he didn't have a clear sky?) Anyway, for those that missed it, here's how the April eclipse of the moon looked in Aridzona, on a beautiful clear night.

Very nice. It was cloudy here, so missed it.

That's awesome! We had 95% cloud cover here in NY and it is pouring right now so I was up at about 130 but could not see anything =(

Thanks for the pics =)

Nice pictures! Too much dammed light pollution here (Orlando) to get a decent view of anything in the night sky.

Most excellent shots.

Got some pretty good ones a few years back in Indiana myself, but not near this good!

You're all very welcome! I hesitated in posting them, since lunar eclipses are pretty common and I was afraid they might just be boring to everyone. Thank you all for the kind remarks.

Cool

Coolness. Thanks. I had taken several nice pictures of the near full moon the previous night, the 14th., between 2:30 and 3:00 AM, and the night before around 1:30 AM or so. I had my camera and tripod set up for the Eclipse. But to no avail. Cloudy and rainy here in Delaware too. Had a few breaks in the clouds but none with enough clarity, and none around the peak at 3:00 AM..
