Traded in the Harley Truck Today!

A local Ford Dealership made me an offer on my Harley Truck today that I could not resist to put on their showroom floor. I still needed a truck to tow my bike trailer & replaced my 2008 with a 2012 Ram 5.7 Hemi 1500. I walked away from the deal with 9k & a 2012 Ram for towing duties. I will miss my Harley truck but I've been wanting a vacation home in the south for quite some time & today was a big step in making that a reality. I will still be lurking here from time to time to say hello. I want to thank everybody through the years for their help & friendship. I will be back in a Ford truck in the future.

So I'm trying to figure out how you're saving money by going from a 2008 Ford to a 2012 Dodge.......

Haha. No worries to me. IMO, all of the Big 3 are making quality pieces, and you really can't go wrong with any of them.

That said.....I REALLY wish the 15' F-150's would've had a smaller diesel in them. If the 1500 Ram is getting 27mpg with the 3.0V6 diesel.....a F150 would get damn near 29mpg.

It would be GAME OVER

Someone had to do it and it might as well be me.

The only way to make the Ram diesel pay for itself is to bump up its potential resale value. For me only a damn fool would bet on a product of Dodge (a crappy US automaker) and Fiat (a God awful Italian automaker) holding any kind of resale value. Both companies are notorious for making craptacular vehicles that depreciate quicker than recycled toilet paper.

Simple I got a 2012 Ram clear & check for 9K deposited in my bank. The Ram is no Harley truck thats for sure, its a two door short bed bare bones black but has a nice 390HP 407 Lb/Ft Hemi Motor. I only put about 3-4K miles on my trucks a year for vacations & towing duties so it was a no brainer. Comming from a 2008 5.4- 4 speed transmission Screw this thing Hauls Azzzzzz! LOL

Even though you didn't need to give an explanation..that one sounded good enough for me! Sound's like you've got one fast little Ram too...no matter what you drive it sure beat's walking...don't be a stranger on here either!

"I'm keeping my truck forever. Blah, blah, blah"

WHUUUUUH . . . . . . . .

Pretty disappointed to be honest. But, I do hope you enjoy the new truck.

If I was buying a 2 door, it would be a black 2wd RAM with the 5.7 and power locks and mirrors. 2 door Fords are ugly with those damn quarter doors.

Bet my 6 cylinder can still beat it!

In all seriousness, good luck with the Ram . As long as you dont drive it to often it should hold up pretty well
