Find A Phone Numbers Owner

Is there a way to find the name of the owner of a repeated phone number on my phone bill? Called AT&T and they don't have that data...thoughts?

You could try a reverse phone number lookup. These are hit or miss and some companies want you to pay to get a detailed report. You should be able to type the number into a search and at least see the service provider and the location the number is from. A scam number might show other people who have been called by the same scammer.

The other option is to take out a fake Craigslist add with that number and see who complains about it. Free chickens, free hay bales or no strings attached gay sex are all sure fire ways to light up a person you are wanting to get even with. If you go for the gay personal ad get creative and ask for pictures to be sent.

Someone did it to my brother as a prank. His phone blew up full of pics. He called me up cussin' and yelling at me thinking I pulled a prank on him. I saved the idea for the next time I need revenge on someone.

THAT's funny!

You CAN, of course locate the area code of the offending number, if that's any help at all.

The area code is the easy part. But these days, that doesn't give you much...didn't help in my case.

I suspected as much. I just use it for call screening purposes - don't answer anything I don't recognize.

A web search on the number should at least show the city and service provider. There are a few places that keep a list of known spam numbers.

It was easy to find the city/provider, but still of no use. I need a name unfortunately.

I google phone numbers all the time. Customers if i have a problem with an address or whatever. Its amazing what you can find out about people by googling there phone number. I also google business phone numbers of companys I'm going to spend allot of money with before I do it. Better to find out the guys a jerk on google then from doing business with him. Then there is this. Used to be all free but allot of them want money now. http://www.freeality.com/finde.htm

Try 800notes.com, if it's a known spam number you should get a few hits on them. If I can I google an unknown number while it's ringing. If it comes up on here I block it on the spot.

It's for sure not a spam number. OK, so long story short to let the cat out of the bag here...it's a phone number that my wife text all the time. Some things are going down and I want to know who owns the number. Do these pay for result reverse look up companies actually work?

Google brings up no info on the number other than the area code stuff...doesn't help.

Damn, that makes things more complicated. I've never used one of the pay services so I can't say how good they are. Could you borrow a friend's phone and call/text them and act like a wrong number? If you play your cards right you should be able to at least get a first name outta them. The other option would be to get a prepaid SIM card and use that number.
