Maybe not. Yea I thought theses were in a class all been themselves. There's more large cats out there than I was aware of. Like I said , could be either one.
Might also be a Toyger. If you want to look at different ones, try this page.

Just like dogs there are many breeds.

I've cleaned up cat and dog ****, they're not even in the same ballpark of nasty. About the only thing that removes the smell of a cat is fire.

Are you sure you mean Civets, Civets are not domesticated or cats, just called that. They are actually in the Raccoon family.

Again, most cats don't do that unless something in their environment is wrong or changed. As for not using a liter box, my guess is that it was not cleaned out on a daily basis, or again something wrong in the environment. Years ago I had a guy I worked with complain about his cat not using the litter box and going on the bathroom mats. I asked him how often he cleaned the litter box. He stated about once a week. I then asked him how he would like having to walk barefoot through his own crap to be able to go again. Just like a dog, problems like that are almost a sure problem in their environment.

I have had both cats and dogs and the only ones that had problems like that were dogs. One was ill so it really doesn't count. The other was afraid of just about any noise in the house. Cleaned up quite a few from him. My cats have never not used the litter box. Even the one with cancer who finally had a neurological problem where he could not walk without falling over used the litter box. it got to the point I had to carry him to the box when I saw him heading for it. Because I have 2 cats and not enough room to have more than 2 litter boxes, I clean mine twice a day. Never a problem.

PS - Urine is easy to clean up. Pat as dry as possible with a towol (even on carpet), Splash a little vinegar (cider or white) around the area. Let soak a little, then pat dry as much as possible with a clean towel. Should end up with no stain or smell. If it does stain, use a carpet cleaning machine to get it out. No reason to replace anything. Had to learn this because of the dogs. Will work on dog, cat, or kid urine. And yes dog urine does stink. Especially if left stay awhile.

We got our cat because of mice. Soon after i finally discovered where the mice entered the house and took care of that. If you wouldn't see the cat, you'd never know we had one. Litter is cleaned every morning. No smell at all. Only inconvenience for the wife is, she has a lot of her nick-nacks packed away in boxes. Our cat has mental issues and loves knocking things off shelves ect..
We wouldn't put up with a dirty cat, that urinates or sprays all over our home.
I've had German Sheppards in the past, which where far more work (smell/shedding) then our cat. Plus we can leave for the day or couple of days without worry.

Had several cats and several dogs, I enjoy both for their different natures. Cats are a lot less trouble and much cleaner as long as you take care of their potty box properly. Also, as noted above, you can leave them for a couple of days with no worries. You have to take care of dogs, cats tend to take care of themselves. You can own a dog but a cat owns you. If you have a cat, you know what I'm talking about.

Do you have anything else tall for the cat to climb on? Cats love to be up high. If you had one or more of the tall cat trees, you might not have a problem with the nick-knacks.

Hey Bluejay, sounds more like the dog owns you as you have to take care of it while the cat is self sufficient to a point.

my cats aren't allowed in the kitchen. So they can't get on the table or the counters. You can train cats, it just takes a lot of patience up front.
