Building an AR-15

Seriously, we need a subforum for "Guns"

I've already got the 91/30 Mosin and a Remington 1911, so what's next on the "Top 5 Guns Every American Needs To Own" list? AR-15. Queue the music. First and coolest parts are here

Aero Precision's COP Midlength Monolithic Upper Receiver and Stripped Lower Receiver, both made of 7075 T6 Aluminum. I've got the Magpul MOE FDE lower parts kit on the way, and a Daniel Defense 16" M4 Carbine barrel also. I still need to order the BCG, and I like matching parts so I'm probably going to go with the Daniel Defense BCG as well.

I've been workin' on buildin' my AR for about 2 years now. The biggest problem with an AR though is they are too much AR and not enough AK. I'd say I'd have wayyy to many AK's, but there is no such thing.

Hell whenever I actually get around to finishin' my AR to shut my friends up, it'll be 7.62x39 so my hoards of former Soviet Union surplus can be used.

I like bravo company BCG. One thing I made sure of with my BCG is that it is MP/HP marked. I also like the Bravo company extractor upgrade just for pc of mind. I shoot allot of steel cased ammo so having that extra pressure to extract the casing is a +. Plus for on $3 its cheap insurance against FTE. There is so much out there for ARs its not even funny. Seems like I keep changing things up on mine all the time. Its a drug lol. Good luck with the build

Amen to that. Here before to long I will have enough parts to build an ar at the rate im going. I gotta focus on dressing up the glock a bit next, or just keep piling up on the ammo for when the UN tries to pull some funny chit.

Give me a light source to aim at and I'll put it out whether it's night or day.

Two friends watched me blow out a road flare at 40 yards standing off hand in the dark using my AR-15 with a red dot?

They are a blast and I hope to be starting a Recce upper for mine in the not so distant future.

Something similar to this.

I got my Colt the Monday after the CT shooting and still have not shot it

Have not decided if I want to sell it or not ... just no places to shoot around me

That's my problem, been wanting to build one for a while now, but the only ranges within reasonable distance charge way to much for rounds and new neighbors make the backyard somewhat of a gray area for whether it's legal or not to shoot back there anymore.

Colts are good guns, you could probably break even with it. But around here, we've got acres and acres of places to shoot at. I love being in the middle of nowhere sometimes.

I'd be in the backyard daily lol

Sucks being right by the city sometimes but than again everything I need is around 5 minutes ... supermarkets, restaurants, anything really
