That's all I have right now. I'm wanting to build me a new one. Thinking a 7.62x39 cause I have tons of ammo that was giving to me.

I have one set up like that but it does not like the Russian Wolf ammo at all. I have already added a MGI enhanced bolt that should have fixed it but so far no dice. Last time I had it out it went 1 for 5 on making a round go bang the first time it was fired. 3 more went bang the second time they were fired and 1 I tried to fire at least 7 times but it would not go off. I have never had one fail in my SKS though. The primers on the Russian stuff are crazy hard to deal with the poor QC of the Commie guns. I'm thinking about getting a heavier hammer spring to see if that will make it fire properly.

I shoot the Lake City SS109 ammo though mine. Never had a miss fire.

That's all good quality 5.56 ammo not cheap Russian 7.62 stuff. I'm sure if I was using even reasonably good ammo I wouldn't have an issue as the primers are getting dented pretty good. But I want to be able to shoot the cheap stuff in this riffle.

Randall, look at the 300 BLK if you're thinking about an AR-15 shooting a 7.62 round because it's basically a blueprinted 7.62x39. It also plays very well with suppressors.

There is a YouTube of the BAD lever and he mentions things that male it good for lefties as well

You can just hit the bar with your left index finger to release the bolt just the same as righties can so I'd say it is beneficial and its under $25 bucks

Randall, I also forgot to mention that you don't need buy different magazines or bolt because the 300BLK uses everything the 5.56 does except for the barrel.

So a 5.56 bolt will work with a 7.62?

Yes because the 300BLK uses the 5.56 case expanded to except a 7.62 projectile. This is the direction I'm going for an upper build I'm going to do very soon so I can swap uppers using the AR-15 lower with the ability to shoot a 7.62 round with out having to lug around my AR-10.

Cool!!! I already have a 5.56 bolt with a new carrier. That's money I can save there. Now I just need to order my lower so I can get started.
