Thanks, dude. If it ends up being a lemon/buy back, it's goodbye 2.0 Ecoboost for me. I don't think Ford is up to par on this whole "turbo boost to save gas" thing. The conventional 2.0 was the way to go. My 2011 Focus has 78,000 miles with no issues. My 2001 Focus had 139,000 miles - no issues. Hopefully, this will be a simple fix. - Og

"Uh, I'm not supposed to say anything to the customer, otherwise I'd get my *** chewed"

Yet you made a YouTube video and I'm sure some people could recognize your voice and know what dealership you work at . . .

Sucks no matter what though.

Yep, doesn't look good if the trans has to be separated from the block. I'll update when I hear from the dealership. - Og

How did you discover it in the first place?

I would hate to take that thing home again, even if they fix it entirely. 310 miles and an issue that big is scary and highly concerning.

I was washing my 2011 Focus when I knelt down to clean the rims. Glanced over and saw a gleaming puddle of oil under the new car and parked it for 24 hours to be sure. Checked later and more oil. I recorded everything. I agree. It is concerning to keep the '14 Focus even after the repair. I'm currently looking over TN's "lemon law" and studying it closely - just in case. Basically, the manufacturer or agent (dealership) has a reasonable number of attempts to fix (approx. 3 total) or 30 day "vehicle out of service" time for the car to qualify. This is day 2. - Og

Just got a call from the dealership. Service tech says high pressure fuel pump is causing the oil leak. Uh, ok. Said it would be 4 days before the part is in. Hopefully will have it ready by next Wednesday. Now, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but uh, high pressure fuel pump causing the oil leak? Am I missing something? - Og

Just heard from Ford HQ yesterday. With this being the first repair, it doesn't qualify for the buy back program - which wasn't a surprise. TN law states that it takes 3 attempts or 30 days of non-use. They assured me that the repair shouldn't cause any major issues and that I should have it back in a few days. It's sitting at the dealer waiting on a high pressure fuel pump which caused the leak from the head - I was told. My 2011 Focus 2.0 is problem free. These '12 and up EcoBoost engines are scary. - Og

Well I surely hope the best with your new ride. Heck I know I miss your Harley so I know you have buyer's/trader's remorse.

Remorse? A little bit. The Focus ST is doing well. I haven't driven it for a few days - monitoring the underside for leaks after pulling off all the belly pans, sitting her on jack stands and pulling the front tires off. Everything looks good. I guess I'll keep her. BTW- I got a hunkering for another truck project. Single cab, SWB. That's all for now, Stealthy. - Og
