Anyone make money on their Youtube videos?

I've been a Youtube partner for about a year now. For some reason I never make any money, not even a few pennies like I thought it would be. I had 127,000 views in the past 30 days and that is a good monthly average for the past year. I have one 3 mil + hits video. Anyone know why I'm not getting any pennies thrown my way?

Hmm, with 6000ish views last month it shows me at 13 bucks. Do you have the ads turned on?

Interesting. Upon further reading I found that I need to have an AdSense account to get paid. I remember seeing that before but I thought it was required to actually be paid, and that I could earn money without the account until I wanted to cash out. Maybe I need the account to even begin receiving anything. I'll get that going and see what happens. Looks like I might be missing out on more easy money than I thought.

Not to post a video.

You get paid based on your views with the ads google Adsense places on the videos. But to get approved for an account you need to have a certain amount of videos, the videos need to get lots of views monthly, and they have to deem your videos appropriate. It's a stringent approving process. So basically just posting random videos that no one is going to watch won't make you any money.

^^^ did not know that. Interesting to say the least. Also good to know that these habitual posters aren't just raking it in.

Nothing big crazy money, but with an interesting video or two a week it is good beer money.
