Just bought my first house.... Need help!
Good evening folks.
So just a little history... In 20 yrs old. Just bought my first house. 3/2 2400sqft total. The house has a well. Built in 89.
I am going to use this thread for advice as time goes on so long as all the post are relevant.
My number one issues right now is my well. The well is kicking on every thirty seconds or so for about 3-5 seconds and shutting off. Any ideas?
Edit: I am a Do-It-Your-Self kind of guy. I am in the process of finishing the irrigation (not related to well issues), and much more.

I have a pretty good "well guy," but if I could save a couple hundred bucks it would be great.
Would it be a water leak or air leak? Or could it be either?
I appreciate it. I was able to get into it at the right time thats for sure.

It's common for old/worn well pumps to leak water around the shaft, but your leak could also be anywhere in the pipe headed to the house.

congrats on the house.....
the leak could be in the piping from the well to the house or it could be a check valve that is fouled or has a bad seat....

Slowly but truly it's coming together!
And got the irrigation running for the first time in ten years! I had to dig up half of the back yard (.6 acre, no fun) to find where it was capped, but it's done! Out of about 30 sprinklers I have 5 broken heads and one broken pipe. Once again, not to bad for a system that hasn't been hooked up for ten years.
I may be wrong but a 3 1/2 ton may be a little low for a 2,400 sq ft home in Florida.
