ya but have they done anything about safety the 2012 was Americas most unsafe vehicle. i put my family in my truck so safety is a huge concern for me. Dodge would be my Second pick but totally hate that shift **** and not a fan of the overall layout of the interior(long horn is FUGLY). the nav displayed in the centre lcd in the gage cluster is cool.

Welp...as much as it pains me to say it....I like the changes Dodge has made to the interior, gauges, panels, seating, etc. However, I can't stand that turn-dial tranny shifter nonsense. I believe there's a good reason we went away from 'push-button' auto trannys years ago, and haven't looked back.

Then again, today's a different day. Technology is vastly better than just 10 years ago. So, maybe that goofy looking **** will work. Time will tell.

Another thing time will tell is if Dodge can REALLY pull off an 8 speed tranny. Heck, they had a hard time getting a 4 speed to hold together!

Bottom line for me is that it's going to take quite a few more years of Dodge 'coming around' for me to ever even entertain the thought of switching. I don't believe Chevy can ever do it. Maybe Dodge can....we'll see.

Having said that, I haven't had any trouble out of the Fords I've had, so there's no real reason to switch.

I think it's a good thing for the bar to continually get raised - even if it's only here and there on little things. It drives the technology and drives the next generations to be better. Improvement is a necessity because complacency will kill a company...

Absolutely! Complacency is part of what nearly got Chrysler/Dodge/etc. Well...that, and crappy cars and trucks.

I do like the interior of the longhorn....but thats just the way the leather and fancy stiching is...the leg room in the back seat sucks compared to the ford, the leveling system seems cool...but will it try to self level the truck when off roading and you crawling over rocks and obsticals? bags are a great idea if you haul heavy loads/pull trailers or want a firmer street ride. If I had to buy one of them or a f150.....approx 43k, I can get a stock raptor for 43, and a KR and for 46 a platinum....so ill take the raptor dodge caint compete with that PRICE (the ramrunner adds another 16k to it?)

I think that the new Ram looks good. I'm sure that they will sell many trucks. Time will tell how it measures up to the current F150. If the Ram does exceede the F150, it'll hold the top position, perhaps untill the 2015 F150?

I guess I'm a bit bias. I'm more likely to buy Ford, not just because of what they produce, but I can't get over the "bailouts". If Ram or GM make something that is truely THAT much better than Ford, I'll give them a look. This Ram is an improvement, but it's not THAT much better.

Nah, REALLY crappy cars and trucks! Oh yea, I forgot, that's bound to get a lot better now that it's FIAT/dodge..... yea.... right.
