Coming from the world of mental health, where I'm called everything under the sun and had punches to tables thrown at me, I'm sure I'll be fine

Congrats DSG,

I've read quite a few of your threads and comments here and it sounds like we all might do better to come visit you when it's time for a new ride!!! Or I can wait till you get to TX!!! Good luck with it and treat your customers right.

Now you'll be in the world of tirekicker's and people who want new vehicles even though they can'r afford them. When I sold car's back in the 80's interest was around 14 to 16% if their credit wasn't to hot. Some wanted to buy even though they were in bankruptcy! A lot of people put down car salesmen or women but you'll soon realize how bad some of these customer's are.

Griffalo,

Thanks for the positive comments. I've done retail sales for 8 years before, and though I'm not as knowledgeable about the '09-'13 trucks as the '92-'08s, I'm willing to read up and learn, if it will help my customers become better informed purchasers.

Pawpaw,

Trust me, I'm ready for attitude, "impossible customers" and tire kickers lol

Btw, is there anyone on here around Olive Branch or Memphis with an '09-'12 that would be willing to school me on these trucks? Having a better understanding of SYNC, the SelectShift + and - gear lockout, 4.2" productivity screen and all the other bells and whistles they've added since '09 would help me make a better sales pitch.

Any amount of time would be helpful, thanks.

Well I found an old classmate of mine that has a '12 FX4 so I played around with it a couple of weeks ago, and my brother showed me the ropes on the '12 Expy so I'm getting better prepared for in the mornin'.

I'm excited but nervous--this is gonna be something different than anything I've known for 6 years lol

V6 Mustangs are for girls.

Glad you are happy with the new job. Enjoying what you do for a living makes working a whole lot less painful.

Not if you turbo them
I'll put my little v6 against any v8 including the new 5.0.

Almost went two fer two last night--I had a life-long Silverado guy ready to eat a 2012 5.0 XLT SuperCab outta my hands, but he and his wife wanted to think it over tonight. I told him that I would be back Thursday, so I'm hoping to close with them then.

I'm getting stoked about this job (and yes many of the vet salespeople have warned me about winter coming, but I'm incredibly hot-natured, so I'll be out there getting the sales while everyone else is trying to stay warm inside lol). I hope I'm doing Ford proud--I'm trying my hardest.
