Talking New job

Hey guys,

Thought I'd let y'all know I applied for a Salesperson position last week at Homer Skelton Ford in Olive Branch, MS--and got it!

I went in after work yesterday to check on the application status, and was asked back today for a second interview...and aced it. I'll be busy selling new Fords in two weeks, but I'll pass on as much insider info as I can about the new F-150s (and entire line) as I find out.

Stoked about this, if y'all can't tell

Nice one.

Will you get a 'Dealer connect' User/Password?

Good for you. See what you can find out about the Harley when you get the chance.

I bet you will know more about the Ford trucks than most of the yahoos I've dealt with. Good luck!

Congrat's, now you'll get to see thing's from the other side of the fence! I sold Ford's for about 5 month's back in the late 80's. You'll also get to work some long hour's too.

Jim, thanks for the kind words.

The only promise that I can make is that if I don't know it, I will find out, in order to better serve my customers.

I'm hoping to do well at this, so that I and my fiancé can move to Texas by this time next year

I won't lie, I'll miss my M-F 7a-3p job, but after 6 years and a glass ceiling, I'm ready to get out there and rip n run

Hope you get access to that. Maybe they have a common dealer entry.

Good Online tool.

Good luck to you -- new car salespeople generally have the life-expectancy of a tail-gunner in WWII......

If you know anything about the vehicles you sell, you'll be ahead of the game -- everytime I have purchased a new vehicle I found that I knew 50x more about the vehicle I was looking at than the "yayhoo" salesman I was working with.....

Good luck! I'm sure it can be a great career for the right person.

Hopefully you have a good dealership and they will treat you and your customers right.
